Meet the mouth! Ever since I saw the video of the utterance robot made by the Sawada Group at Kagawa University, I’ve wanted to build my own instrument version. It’s as uncanny as I hoped it would be. To the right is a demonstration of how it works, and below is me playing it with Erin Demastes for our recent SpaceSearch performance at Battery Books.
