If you’ve ever wondered how my instrument, the Saxafone, works I’ve got some great news. I’m excited to announce that my newest album “The Invention of the Saxophone,” is coming out on June 10th as a digital album and physical art book on the label Surface World. The album is a collection of duos featuring me on Saxafone and my dear nd collaborator Patrick Shiroishi on Saxophone, and serves as demonstration of this instrument within a saxophone ensemble context.
The book, part instruction manual - part patent, is an explanation of the circuitry, logic, set-up, and synthesis of the Saxafone and contains detailed illustrations and diagrams for anyone interested in my approach to instrument augmentation.
